Location: Yongxin, China
Year: 2020
Category: Competition
Team: Dat - Thang - Nghi

Heshui River has divided Yongxin into two distinct zones: Old City on one side with a richculture of Red Revolution and an astonishing potential natural retreat on the other side with theinfamous Jinggangshan Mountains as its background.
“Bridging Yongxin” involves three urban components: Linjiang Center, Wenxing Bridge and Xianggan Wharf that are located at the transition of the two riversides. Their designs emerge, reaching out, intertwine with each others and by neatly intergrating public circulation inside, they act as an extension of the Old City Memory Display Belt, to bring people, culture and history to the South side, to connect human life with nature and vice versa, bringing part of nature to the City.
The starting points of Wenxing Bridge are on different level on two sides of Heshui River, represent the difference between human and nature. They meet in the middle and that’s where human and nature are blended in. An event pavilion is generated in the form of “Wenxing’s Eye”.
